jury comment: Love is a big part of our story, and it has many faces. This overlapping of kisses makes us aware of humanity’s long journey (still unfinished) toward acceptance and inclusivity. The composition is dynamic and abstract, enhanced by the absence of color, and supports the story very well. It’s crowded and dramatic to make the viewer take notice and act.
